Aline Flores is one of Honduras’ and Central America’s most accomplished women leaders. She holds law and business degrees in marketing and finance and an MBA from the Central American Institute of Business Administration. After serving in a number of roles at Grupo Flores, an automotive industry leader in Honduras, Aline currently serves as Executive Vice President and a union leader.

Aline represents the values of work, leadership, and vision for her country and her company. In October 2006, she received the Leaf of Liquidámbar, the highest recognition that the municipality of Tegucigalpa gives to citizens and institutions. El Econonomista named Aline Entrepreneur of the Year in 2014, and she received the Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Latin Chamber of Commerce of the United States. She is also a fellow of the inaugural class of the Central America Leadership Initiative and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. In 2021, Aline received the Leading Women Award from the World Business Council For Sustainable Development. She also was designated as United Nations Ambassador to end violence against women in Honduras in 2021. 

Aline has held various roles throughout the private sector and works to promote enterprise, entrepreneurship, and education. She also advocates for a number of important causes, including women’s empowerment, gender inequality, violence against women and girls, and environmental protection and sustainable development. She also supports JA Honduras.

In 2015, Forbes México named Aline its list of the 50 Most Influential Women in Central America

Aline served as chairwoman of the Honduran Association of Automotive Distributors, as a board member and chairman for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tegucigalpa, as president of the Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (COHEP) from 2012–2016, and as president of the Honduras chapter of the Business Council of Latin America (CEAL) from 2016–2020. Today, Aline is the Coordinator of the Sustainable Business Gender Committee of the Honduran Council of Private Enterprise (COHEP). 

Recently, Aline was elected President of The Ecological Foundation of Tegucigalpa for conserving green areas, parks, and monuments to support, develop, and safeguard the country’s ecological resources and environment. In early 2023, Forbes Centroamérica named Aline among its list of 100 Central Americans to Watch.

A Global Force for Good

Aline dreams of making Honduras a benchmark for sustainable development, promoting gender equity and youth leadership in the country, and inspiring young people in their entrepreneurial endeavors. As a founding member of JA Honduras, she has served as an in-school volunteer for JA and as President of the organization. Grupo Flores is a national donor to JA Honduras and continuously promotes work-readiness education and corporate volunteering to contribute to sustainable development in communities. She continues to serve on the committee of JA ex-presidents. 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Aline directed one of COHEP’s main activities, organizing the comprehensive management of the San Juan Pablo II Stabilization Center for COVID-19, where more than 180,000 patients received quality medical care, including vaccinations and clinical tests. 

Aline has a long history as a member and leader of various business organizations. She has been a member of some of the most important private groups in Honduras and Latin America, including the CEAL, the Federated Association of Chambers of Commerce of the Central American Isthmus (FECAMCO), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tegucigalpa (CCIT), and she is part of FUNDAHRSE. She currently serves as Coordinator of the Sustainable Business Gender Committee of Honduran Council of Private Enterprise.
